Just to be clear, this isn’t about attacking Sooae as a character. This is about how the author handled her arc. They basically dismantled her emotional development with no proper bridge or payoff. There’s a difference between consistent characterization and regression — and the execution here feels like regression, not genuine growth.

The author seems to mistake toxic behavior for romantic tension. Love isn’t supposed to feel exhausting or confusing, yet that’s exactly what her writing delivers. Instead of making readers root for the couple, they make readers question why they’re even together.
