What is this I'm seeing that people are hating on juheon??? Yeah this is one of the only tops I'd defend vehemently. I've seen a post of someone acting like dohu is owed juheons love when he's not apologised cz guess what that's where accountability and taking responsibility starts. I don't hate dohu but people that act like he did nothing wrong just give incel vibes. This creepy ass entitlement that they believe bottoms are owed everything even when they did something is just weird. Let's enjoy the only angst that should exist in bl. At least it's not a love triangle ffs!!!

I agree with you, but I also lowkey find Juheon slightly annoying. My explanation is definitely more of “well if I was him…” with the addition of “it takes two to tango” in that Juheon just seemed to want to the be seen as his true self while also creating and holding this big wall that kept himself at a distance from people while essentially still wanting a genuine relationship (platonic or not) with essentially no intentions. This doesn’t make sense to me because it just wouldn’t make sense for a person to fully open themselves up to a person and lay out their true selves to a anyone unless they open up and show a part for the other person to reciprocate to which then the relationship would grow from there. Additionally, in my perspective there is nobody in the world who starts talking to someone or interacting with someone for no reason or without any type of intentions. Then adding on to this Korea is a society that has a heavy emphasis on connections and the people you know/are connected to, so in a case like this where Dohu essentially was studying Juheon’s character for a novel without Juheon’s knowledge, Juheon’s reaction seemed a little too strong. I would understand feeling upset for the fact of not being told that “hey I wanna research/observe your character”, but Juheon gets upset for “you were using” which is a part I don’t get. What was Dohu using his observations of Juheon’s character for? A novel, no? We also don’t know whether that novel’s story was continued after the incident and published physically or on the internet, so did Dohu really use him?

Also sorry for the long paragraph here, I don’t mean to create an argument. It’s just my own thoughts that I kind of want to get out (´∀`*)

This ain't an argument but I'll disagree with you respectfully. It's never in anyone's place to dictate the reaction someone has to being slighted. Dohu studying juheon was him using him given the context of the story. He further doesn't clear things up and apologizes. Discernment is important here. It isn't a matter of proving a point cz that angle logistically makes sense but emotionally he hurt juheon and they were lovers not just random acquaintances who'd feel fluttered by his actions. To juheon it was a breach of trust considering he has a thing against being fetishized and only seen for his looks. Dohu presented himself as different and even when his feelings changed he didn't stop thinking of juheon as a project. It may seem small to you but you never know how deeply you've wounded someone until they show you and when they do. The reaction should not be "you're overreacting"

I understand your point of view, but I wasn’t saying his reaction wasn’t valid just slightly frustrating because I thought in a relationship like this you’d start to understand the person you are in a relationship with, which then leads to why didn’t they talk about it instead of just leaving everything. Does he genuinely think everything that happened was fake with Dohu. I think I would’ve been fine if they continued acting as if they didn’t know each other, but obviously Dohu started initiating conversation with him which at that point I do think Juheon’s reaction makes sense(also then there would be no story). You also stated how Juheon he has a thing against being fetishized and seen for this looks, but wasn’t Dohu studying him more so based on Juheon’s character rather than just his looks, no? Overall, I feel frustrated with both characters and wanted to say this. Sorry if you did take it as me saying Juheon was overreacting, I didn’t mean it to come out that way. I just thought that if they did kind of nurtured a relationship with each other they would have some understanding of each other to be able to talk about the situation and decide from there if they want to cont. the relationship, leave each other, or etc as there are many different forms and types of relationships.
