True. I do appreciate the issue wasn’t swept under the rug that Ines did see a child as an obligation to fulfill then leave. At least she’s aware that Carcel realized this and she didn’t deny it’s true.
I also liked that both sides addressed the reason for their intimacy. Ines accused him of intimacy while denying her their child and he responded by asking if their intimacy is only about having a child.
At least they settled that issue and they’re on the same page now.

I’m glad they communicated, but hopefully Ines will feel the need to stop trying to hide things from him now that she experienced the pain of being on the receiving end with the contraceptive. I feel like that’s what the end of the chapter is hinting at with her saying she knows what to do now.
