My theory is that the whole name tag thing is a poor attempt to make the uke matter by the writer. At this point he's a sex slave being held captive, and usually in stories like this the uke would be actively trying to eacape but Mi-Eum isn't trying to escape at all and honestly he's no longer relevant to the plot.
Atp in the story mieum has the personality of a spicy wet paper towel. Cute but basically irrelevant for the story
