Its an abusive relationship. At the moment he needs help. He gets beat up if he doesn't play along. Hes also trying to get himself out of it by studying and and trying to get something good out of school. Ontop of not wanting the confrontation to happen between the otger guys coz he knows the guys he's in love with is gonna end up physically hurt

Again, he is not allowing it lmao. The ex is more like forcing himself in the mc's life. "Allowing it" means consenting to whatever is happening, which clearly, he did not "allow." He's manipulated physically and mentally, it's basically survival mechanism. Also, I am not justifying his action toward Kang, he's also mentally abusive by using Kang's sense of duty. I get your point, tho you should avoid saying that to someone who was actually abused and traumatized. :)
