isekai recs where the MC actually wants to leave their world???

i’m trying to find more books where transmigrated MCs don’t just immediately accept their reality because i feel like sooo many isekai book MCs are just like “whatever! let’s make the most of it since i’m stuck here now!” and move on, which i feel is so incredibly unrealistic. i need that ANGST and GRIT.

I feel the same way like they adapt so fast with some op ability and immediately life is smooth sailing where is the grind where the hard work and effort where is the blood sweat and tears

if you havent read kill the villainess already id definitely read that! its already completed and definitely one of my favourite manhwas of all time. i think the way its written is so beautiful and also has a top tier but not overly important male lead which is my personal preference. i havent read the novel version but if its anywhere as close as good as the manhwa you definitely wont be disappointed

not sure if this counts but it’s kinda along the lines of this but reversed? mc has to go back to her og body to resolve her issues in order to stay in her reincarnated world, it’s an interesting read though (≧∀≦)

I second Kill the villainess. I also wanted to recommend Death is the only ending for the villainess but I saw that it's already in your reading list. These two are the only ones I have found till now and I'm always looking for stories like that.... Your reading list is so good btw.
