In her defense, she started this life on survival mode. She didn’t know who to trust and whether they’d believe her anyway so I get her reservations from being transparent. She was way traumatized from 2nd and 3rd life to be able to live carefree. Ines might be hiding alot but that doesn’t excuse Carcel from leading her on with the idea of kids. But good for her for actually acknowledging her part in that mess.
So then both of them are in the wrong. No excuses for either of them. Also, in case you didn’t realize, the episode reveals that Carcel actually has trauma from the 1st TL regarding Ines’s dying in childbirth. That’s why he said he doesn’t understand why but he’s very afraid of getting her pregnant. Then Ines immediately had the flashback where she woke up after two days of bleeding after giving birth to their child. The first timeline Carcel was crying and saying he wanted to die first if she had really died. The author basically just gave us the answer to why Carcel feels so deeply afraid of getting Ines pregnant while she might not be in good health. But I suppose to most his trauma doesn’t matter though to Ines, it does. She understands why he feel that instinctive fear even if he can’t remember the first timeline yet.
Basically why I said Ines is better than me in my other responses. Smh. Both of them are basically victims of fate and both have different responses and coping. I never said one is entirely correct and one is completely wrong, I merely pointed out my own responses. I do recognize Carcel has a point and I did mention that but you cannot invalidate that lying about it did cause even a bit of feeling betrayed in Ines’ case. Both of them don’t know each other’s trauma so they’re bound to have their own assumptions and feelings. The good thing about it is she understood and accepted it. But she is also only human, she had every right to feel hurt when she discovered about it. I didn’t say Carcel didn’t have the right to lie, I’m just saying that it still hurt her at some point.
I think a big point of this conflict is to make Ines realize her hypocrisy which will urge her to hopefully tell him at least some of the truth. Carcel’s one lie caused her so much pain, so imagine being in Carcel’s shoes?
When you compare his one lie to how much she has lied and used him since the age of 6 like a pawn, Ines most likely was able to finally put herself in his shoes a little bit. Which is why by the end of the chapter it looks like she’ll make up for it by hopefully telling him the full truth finally.

So after reading the update, I knew Carcel had his reasons, but I still got so mad for Ines when she discovered the medicine and had to argue with someone. I told my bf about the manhwa (concise summary) and told him to argue with me like he was Carcel and I’d be arguing with him like I was Ines. Phew, I won the argument and kinda forgave Carcel because my boyfriend did brought up good points and he was looking like a kicked puppy like Carcel at the end of the argument.
