Idk… I just started reading this and not gonna lie I’m kind of getting cringed out. I’m only at chapter 9 but It’s just like all the sudden he’s this monster’s actor and everyone is going wild and glazing him. Don’t get me wrong I’ve read plenty of overpowered MC’s but for some reason, this one is just cringing me out. Also, I don’t really get the whole portal acting thing. like is he going into the portal, experiencing the role, and then coming out and acting? or is he acting while still seeing the scenario in the portal? Idk if that made sense but If it’s really worth it please tell me and maybe I’ll pick it up again.

it's like a simulation for him except he gets the skills and personality of his character outside the portal after experiencing it there

Basically while he’s inside the portal he BECOMES the character. Their personality, their values, their beliefs, their fears, their hopes, their dreams, and also their skills and abilities. He gets everything of theirs, including their thoughts their emotions.

Then he’s forced to live the script as though it were his reality.

So tell me, if someone told you to act out a moment of your past, something that had actually happened to you before, it wouldn’t be that difficult to do right? you only need to act like yourself from a situation you’re fully familiar with. So that’s where his monster acting skills are coming from.

But yeah everyone’s gonna fuss over him. They’re all gonna be obsessed with him. There’s gonna be tons of misunderstandings where he just becomes cooler and cooler in everybody else’s eyes. And the misunderstandings are going to lead to more and more outstanding achievements. Which is pretty hard to understand. Even the main character himself thinks it’s weird. Like, he doesn’t understand why people keep having these explosive reactions to him, and being so obsessed. But at the same time he’s also like, “oh well, whatever. I’m just gonna run with it.”

Read the series assuming it’s a comedy. If you read it as a comedy, it’s actually very enjoyable.
