It’s eased up now after a lot of celebrities including kpop idols coming out about how hurt they are that they can’t be themselves to the fans but it’s not 0. Death threats are still a very very huge possibility for these celebrities and even though jiwon is no longer a celebrity, they still hound him. It’s like everyone forgot that people went to his parents when he got hurt. Do you know how stressful that must be? That at any point in time, your actions can have your own parents unable to leave their home because reporters are there. It’s a huge deal regardless of who he’s dating or what their gender is. And let’s not forget the amount of photos the internet had and the information you can search for about jungwoos ex gf. That was a non celeb where there are strict laws preventing a lot of publications or journalists from photographing her. Imagine a celeb now. It’s not just privilege, it’s stupidity.
