people will point it out for being a ‘woke’ thing because it challenges the common tropes you see in most yaoi’s and everyone’s only comfortable with what they’re used to seeing. but it’s not ‘woke’ to like that trope, i think those who agree with that just want to see something different instead of the boring cliche that is the bigger top and smaller bottom
There's nothing woke about being a fujoshi actually. Shipping isn't really a movement. I mean, there are people who are woke and also are fujoshis, but a huge fraction of fujoshis don't have political and moral views that would be considered woke.
I just don't think shipping two men isn't woke because sometimes people confuse attraction with allyship.
Sorry I don't understand any of these terms except for fujoshi. People who have been reading BL for a long time don't really use woke term often. Only in past few years I have heard these new terms. So maybe the newer fans brought this to table. And just a guess but maybe woke as in they're saying the proportion is out of norm, different from old yaoi proportions.

I dont understand..isnt being a fujoshi already woke enough? Why is liking something like smaller top bigger bottom a "woke" thing? Genuinely confused
