I mean if u look into the real harm of AI, like actually research it, you can see why no one approves of it.

how do you "research" the harms of AI?

Tbh it's the impact that ai has on the planet that are rlly bad. I mean, it takes tons of water (drinkable water btw) to cool down those datacenters. And also there's a dilemma with using ai to make art, because ai is trained by feeding it other artists' art. And most of the time, the art used to fill those machines isn't legally obtained

I mean, you’ve done research projects in school right? treat it like how you’d treat a research essay on the harms of AI, both to the environment and to artists/people

Yes AI harms the environment but people forget to research how much the Internet itself harms the environment already to. And us consuming these technically unnecessary things like all the time for our own pleasure is causing so much gas emissions as well as electricity and power. AI may be a bit different on the grand scale of things but it's really just adding to an already existing problem. The consumption is worse with AI but that's how it is with technology developing. Unfortunately on a wider scale of things the Internet is still causing more harm overall because of how large it is and AI is just the cherry on top at the moment. I think if we really are serious about saving the planet we need to just consume less and less technology, go outside, touch some grass and stop contributing to data centers. For AI I do believe there should be a paywall through. The biggest issue with AI is that its too easy to access. If there was a paywall it would actually be more beneficial.

Either way I do think people getting triggered over a fictional character over using AI is a bit funny.
