In most of ABO settings female alphas have a dihh so im guessing, at birth they thought its a male . The bottom assumed its an alpha bc the kid had a d and in his world they always called others as either alpha or omega (or beta) so thats why he called the kid an alpha. But later on they realized its actually a girl w secondary gender being an alpha . But the top guy doesnt know those secondary gender things hence the conflict
