Did we read different stories? I love Tia's conviction, first of all, she came back to be the family head. She wasn't even in love with Perez originally. Perez needs to become the emperor, and Tia does NOT want to become Empress, she wants to become her own person. BUT this is just my guess, when Perez becomes Emperor, he will just make it to a republic thus not needing for Monarchy. Less creative route would be, he becomes Emperor and his first Imperial Decree would be that Empresses can be the Family Head XDD

Very well said. Just bc it has a romance plot doesn’t mean that that’s all it’s about. I hate it when ppl think that female leads HAVE to get married or accept another person as if she’s not allowed to have her own reasons for not wanting to be tied to a man. She wants to be the head of her family not Perez’s wife not to mention the empress. It’s very obvious they like eachother and the tension is there but before all else tia puts herself and her family first which I LOVE and I think that’s exactly what makes this comic worth reading. There are 100,000 other comics out there were the FL falls in love and ignores her reason for having conviction just to be with a man and I hate the trope just as much as I love it. This comic is different and has depth and plot. She doesn’t need a man no matter how much she likes him. She could accept him and still not want to marry him or be with him and I would be happy ash with that BECAUSE it means she is still tia. It would be fkn crazy if we got all the way to chapter 200 of her having the same drive and goal just to throw it all away and be changed by a crown. Idk if bro even read this frl bc her romance with Perez is NOT the point of the comic or the reason tia does what she does. If you want a comic where theFL give sin and throws her second life away to make a stupid decisions and give in to a man’s will to throw away her status and character then I have a list of them I can give u
i think u should read on or REREAD to fully grasp tia’s/the story’s main purpose here…tia’s main goal was NEVER romance and in fact it’s to become the head of the family…and that’s literally what’s she’s been trying to do this entire time and she does NOT let romance stray her off of it. moreover, she has a solid reason to keep “rejecting” perez and that’s becuz of the rule that the empress cannot be the head of a family at the same time…and if tia drops everything to marry perez and become empress, she’s basically betraying the lombardy family. and it’s kinda crazy how u don’t understand this becuz i think this very reason for her pushing perez away is a very good way to truly show tia’s conviction, her very deserving of the lombardy head, and such a STRONG female character.

With all due respect, I don’t think it’s unreasonable for me to way ROMANCE in a ROFAN NOVEL. You don’t need to be so condescending and rude. Of course I understand her main purpose! It’s just annoying to me that she keeps rejecting a man she truly likes! Do they have to marry each other to be together?? No! Irregardless of that fact, they are going to end up married anyway.

I think some of you are missing my point. I'm NOT saying Tia should abandon her goals or that I forgot why she came back. I KNOW she wants to be family head, that's literally her main motivation and I haven't forgotten that. So now I know she can’t be family head/empress…
My issue is this: Why does wanting to be family head mean she HAS to reject Perez? These two goals aren't inherently incompatible. And if the ONLY obstacle is "Empresses can't be family heads," then that's a systemic barrier that can be changed, and to me, not a legitimate character motivation for rejection!
If the rule can be changed (which is something that Perez will obviously do/it will be changed), then Tia rejecting him NOW is just unnecessary angst. She's creating a problem that doesn't need to exist.
If she genuinely doesn't want to be Empress, okay, but that's a conversation they should HAVE. Not her unilaterally deciding "we can't be together" without even discussing alternatives. What if Perez doesn't want a traditional Empress role for her? What if he'd support her being family head? We don't know because she won't communicate!
Like the whole "crossing the line" excuse is simply vague and frustrating! Right now it just feels like manufactured drama.
To be clear: I'm not saying she should drop everything for romance. I'm saying a smart, strategic character should be able to figure out how to pursue BOTH her ambitions AND her relationship, or at least have an actual conversation about it! Her "conviction" would be more admirable if it was based on something concrete rather than what feels like an arbitrary choice!
Yes, Perez will change it and assures her there’s nothing to worry about.. which is exactly what they ALSO talked about on the same chapter where Tia mentioned that a person can’t be both a family head and empress Tia doesn’t even reject his advances anymore, her ‘rejections’ and ‘reminders that it’s a contract’ seems more like flirting for them now than actual rejection. She didn’t even allow Perez to dissolve their contract you DID mention that you probably skimmed over her reason, so I guess you also skimmed over the part where they talked about it. I think they’re currently focusing on finishing up their goals rather than their relationship. I’ve read the novel anyway, it’s gonna be fine.
Nope. I was not talking about her reason I was talking about the can’t be empress/and head of family part. I either skimmed over it or didn’t read that chapter because as stated in my topic title, I’ve only read up to chapter 179. I haven’t even reached the chapters you’re talking about.
The last chapter I read was when her and Perez went to meet the empress and Perez was telling her something like don’t hide your feelings (don’t quote me, I vaguely remember), and she was being cold to him suddenly. It annoyed me and so I made this comment.

Tia is really annoying me right now. There is no good reason for her to reject Perez. Literally no good reason at all. No valid justification. wtf does she mean she can’t cross the line.
