I can’t speak for others, but I don’t like the ML because he’s rude and disrespectful to people in general, including the people he sleeps with, and he molested an unconscious MC
That said, I can dislike a character but still appreciate the story and the work in general. Art generates discussion… makes people uncomfortable, makes people comfortable, fosters positive feelings, fosters negative feelings, etc.
I get where you’re coming from but I’m speaking in general when it comes to fwb relationships most BL/yaoi whatever you prefer to call have a really shitty take on non monogamy. Like why are fwb relationships ALWAYS depicted in such crude ways when it’s not really like that. And that is what I’m getting tried of how mainly South Koreans look at non monogamy. Idk like I said this wasn’t necessarily aimed at the characters or comments it’s my own legitimate feelings.
Indeed I definitely agree there are PLENTY of character I really dislike but I still love the story but that is the thing with this genre no one is ever truly satisfied in all facets of the genre!
This isn’t aimed at the ML or MC! If you get into a FWB relationship that does NOT mean you are special! If you are agree to be someone’s fwb do not expect normal relationship type of things because that is what it’s not! Yes chilling and hanging out as friends it what you are entitled to, but what you aren’t entitled to is the love and affection of said person. Also I hate people with hidden agenda especially when dealing with a person who is non monogamous whether it’s a phase or how they will live their lives permanently it’s disgusting. The ML is upfront with what he wants no hidden agenda no slick talk just straight to the point so why cry because you caught feelings for no reason . And I hate that they make the characters who start out as non monogamous assholes like who do they be modeling these characters after ?!? I am an ethical non monogamous person so it really grinds my gears when they make non monogamy seem so shady and disgusting. Anyway I’m glad the uke is a tough nut and stands up for himself for the most part. He should have responded back to his mom by saying “fck yall and the ancestors yall pray to” because Korean parents in these stories be having me fuming!
