and when we do get dark skinned fls, it's those "ugly to pretty" transformations where having tanned skin means DIRTY and UGLY
I know a hate it, I love the characters but the implications are awful. Darker skinned characters always get treated so bad like they’re freaks of nature or something. I can’t help but think how I’d be treated in these worlds as my skin is significantly darker
