I can't help but feel bothered because he had plastic surgery, I'm not criticizing the manga, I'm just sharing in the comments that it bothered me so i couldn't read more than 2 chapters, I don't have anything against plastic surgery but it scares me that someone can change his face, why idk I'm trying to understand my logic, while I'm okay with small changes and not okay with getting a totally new face, maybe is because it gives me a fake feeling omg help I'm totally jdkdkdkdk uncomfortable?¿

I agree with you. I want to read this, but have an issue with the idea that the mc has to undergo plastic surgery to appeal to his crush. It's not healthy. Why would I want to read that?

That isn't what i got out of the surgery though? Didn't he get the surgery for himself? To make himself better suited to the uke? It's the same reason people work out, he wanted to look good.

There's a big difference between working out to become healthier and permanently altering your appearance with the specific goal of looking like your crushes ideal type. If he had plastic surgery because he didn't like his nose, and wanted to have a nose that he liked it would be different. But he got himself a face that he thought someone else would like. In my opinion, if your willing to change yourself completely for another person then your empty inside and not worth their time. (Not always the case, like if a druggie stops drugs for someone they love)

Yeah, i see what you're saying and the logic behind it, though what i thought he was thinking when he got the surgery was "i don't like myself right now, i don't feel like the current me could attract my crush so i'm going to make myself better so i feel comfortable trying to approach him". I though he wanted to better himself so he'd feel like he was of equal worth with his crush. Though that is just my opinion. I don't personally see much difference between what i just described and a person working out to get healthy since they're still doing it to look better, just without a singular person in mind and rather just to impress people in general.

I think that your logic makes sense too. There's not anything wrong with wanting to better yourself. This manga just didn't give me that feeling. It seemed externally motivated.

No. It's a SOCIETY that is empty if they put an emphasis on looks to be able to get yourself what you want. I am fat and not even plain looking. Do you think it's MY fault that I'd want to change my looks in order to be taken seriously by that very same society? And, yes, peeps, society INCLUDES the people who make it up. Please don't victim blame someone who doesn't have the good luck to be born with good looks or into the right family or country or culture, etc... who doesn't care about things like that (because that IS all it is, LUCK). Thanks.
