Ch 99 of the original story is when Hyesung meets his mom again, I just read it. Hyesung’s mom essentially met with his abusive dad in the past to file the divorce, but never met up with Hyesung, bc apparently she couldn’t face him.
And so Hyesung questions why she would even reach out to him at this time, if not bc he’s living rich now. His mother’s response is ‘well your dad told me u didn’t want to see me and you never decided to find me’. Mind you, this doesn’t answer the fucking question. Why would you want to see your son after this time? To apologize? To start again? Like she dodged the question AND put the blame on never seeing Hyesung ON HIM. The victim of all of this. She’s a grown adult who divorced her abusive husband, and somehow still believed what her abusive husband told her FOR YEARS. And then blamed her kid for never finding her despite her literally abandoning him. Fucking dog shit ass writing to bring this plot point up in the sequel and resolve it within a chapter. That’s embarrassing. Byul should know EXACTLY how his mom feels - there should be a whole emotional moment where Hyesung explains it all. And Dojin should be getting ripped into rn - they literally fund her money!! For what?? Abandoning her child as a mother?? The heck?
On top of all this, author really setup for Hyesung accepting mom back in life cause that same chapter, Hyesung tells dojin that if he saw his mom face to face again, he feels like he might forgive her. Like fuck off with this writing, let Hyesung crash out.
