It's like having a guy who appreciates and compliments you on your small efforts. Honestly, the relationship between Feris and Lucille is built on knowing and understanding each other's action towards one another. Only Lucille has understood the small things Feris does, which he appreciates a lot. Lucille feels good having someone that depends on her, and at the same time, someone she can depend and fall back on when bad things happen. Even if there wasn't anything bad happening, Feris always seem to get the exact thing Lucille needs. To Lucille, he is her prince charming. It's refreshing of a romance.
You know what, that makes a lot of sense. I guess personally if I was in Lucille's shoes, I wouldn't have viewed feris romantically simply because his communication style is so stilted. That seems to be a big theme of the plot tho lmao. I have very similar reactions of feris to the other characters in the comic. I've met a handful of people that are really difficult to talk to like Feris and I just felt like I was being abandoned on a two way street so I have a sort of prejudice against people who can't carry a conversation after multiple attempts
I don't really get what Lucille sees in Feris romantically, but I appreciate that she is happy and an adult when she met Feris. I'm glad that it is working out for Lucille and Feris even though I don't really understand. This story is very heart warming like a mug of hot chocolate on a winter snowy evening.
