I think it’s just cause in more re ent chapters he’s dealing with his feelings and his father is still a big problem(he always becomes far more withdrawn as soon as that man is near) however I think I understand what you mean. He doesn’t exactly take the lead at least in recent chapters but I do think he’ll become more dominant once his father is out of the picture and he becomes comfortable with Aaron. Rn he’s still looking for ways to push him away and Aaron is doing the opposite so ig that’s why they’re dynamic is like that rn. Definitely get you though. He’s more bratty bottom than power
