Diana never had any magical ability. Its probably why carrying a child that inherited Claude's strong magic ability and mana (in Athy's case also instable) was too much for her body that even the pregnancy alone was slowly killing her, that surviving child birth was not be possible given the weakened state her body be by the time she would give birth.
