I'm also thinking on mkre:
Ain (servant, son, whichever) will die and the Lord will be a replacement to the Mc in a tragic ending where he actually still likes Ain.

While reading the manga...I couldn't help but think of many scenarios
Scenario 1:
The lord shel something something is Ain himself but doesn't want to reveal it (pretty impossible tho)
Scenario 2:
Ain is actually the lord something something's son and is actually married to the blonde guy, but doesn't want to reveal it.
Scenario 3:
Same as the above one but Ain is jot married to the Blonde guy. Father dies and Ain says..I'll take responsibility and married blonde guy
Scenario 4:
Ain truly is a Servant and like...The lord is a super old, frail man who is about to die..and can't take responsibility of blonde guy so he gives many land and money to Ain so that Ain can marry blonde guy
Scenario 5:
Again Ain servant and Lord very sick about to die..and has no heir since he didn't get married at all..
(Thought out the novel..i don't think it's mentioned that the Lord is married...nor that he has children...or maybe I'm wrong)
And before he dies...he's like..
Ain..you're my son..sorry for keeping you as a servant for so long ..now .I shall give you the title you deserve..
Ain now duke and married blonde guy.
Scenario 6:
Same as above but Ain not the lord's son but Lord very pleased and happy with him and makes him duke either ways ...
My mind sure is very...creative let's say
