Is it sick to think that Kaneki and Shuu and maybe most of the ghouls assigned for combat eat the dead ghouls once they arrive HQ? It would be a waste of RC cells if they just bury or dispose them. Kaneki needs to cannibalize, he needs enormous amounts of RC cells and human RC would not be enough. Killing ghouls himself is never going to happen but there are already dead ghouls there so Kaneki's not killing them, just feeding on what's presented to him. They need to strengthen up, all of the ghouls in the front lines, before they can even do anything against Furuta and co. Of course, given those ghouls were left behind.
Also, to make it morally acceptable, they can make an excuse that by consuming the dead comrades, they are giving their deaths honor as the living use that power to fight their cause.
Yeah, I think that's a good idea. Like you said, Kaneki isn't going to kill the ghouls himself. It's sort of dark and morally wrong to eat your friends/comrades, however Ishida is known for the "dark and morally wrong".
It's dark indeed but in dire times, they need to be practical. But like what I read from tumblr, the true success to this revolution is when the leaders are truly in it, with the true intentions to save ghouls and make a change, and not just merely trying to pacify and find comfort in their situation. Yet along with that conviction, they still need to be physically strong and capable. Furuta has been pushing ghouls to their limits, to push Kaneki to actually do something that will truly result to change and getting strong is one of the factors that will make the plan successful. An intense moral debate would happen, esp. coming from Touka but I bet Shuu and Nishiki would definitely approve it.
Couldn't say it better myself. However, we know Kaneki's character. He doesn't even want to kill humans but seeing that his wife is pregnant (having a new will to live, he was suicidal before), and save the ghoul race, will he eat ghouls to survive for not only himself but for Touka and his child? Even if they're his comrades/friends, will he do it? It's the only way he will become strong enough to defeat Furuta. I see no other way.
HELL YEAH. It's all for Touka at the end of all this. Plus a lot of them died without any fight because they are starved or simply they can't, so at least they can through Kaneki. As their RC cells are used by Kaneki. I have sick morals, so it seems. My brain is wired differently, lol. I was imagining instead of hearing Yamori and Rize in his head, demoralizing him, maybe the comrades he'll be eating would cheer him up during battle. So it wouldn't be depressing, really, lol. Thank you, though, for following my random ramblings. I really appreciate it.

R.I.P. Yomo, he's going to die protecting Touka, his niece. If he goes out, I hope he takes Mutsuki with him. Patiently, waiting for Ayato to come and Touka and him fight together. Ugh, I cannot stand Mutsuki, he/she is cannot redeem her/his character.
