A common trope in BL, which is sad. This is why I prefer reading novels more, it has way more plot and detail, as well as better characters development.
I might have to pass the main couple for right now. Hopefully they get better as more chapters come out, but it’s already thrown out with the assault trope and annoying character.
The uke is reasonable. Imagine growing up being told you’re gonna be an alpha and always being surrounded by alphas since in your family everyone is one, only to discover that you’re actually an omega. Due to that you end up facing multiple problems and always have some alpha using his pheromones on you, affecting you badly physically and making you dependent on him. You need to work twice as hard to achieve a body an alpha can easily obtain without effort and despite the amount of work you put in, it’s still not enough because an alpha will always be stronger than you. Going back to the alpha, not only is he stronger and always breaking your boundaries, he keeps ignoring your requests and just does as he pleases, he takes advantage of you knowing you’re weaker than him, he takes advantage of your weak state and sexually assaults/rapes you. You think you could handle all of it? Yes he was an ass for behaving the way he did when his mother put so much effort into throwing that party for him, but his reaction was also reasonable because in his eyes, being an omega is something to be embarrassed about. He tries to ignore it but it always comes back to haunt him. Suah (the seme) is one of the main reasons, during practice, Suah showed up to watch him despite him having stated multiple times not to, and since Suah’s noticeable everyone started staring and talking about him and Juhyeok (uke) which led to the topic of Juhyeok being an omega and to that beta making comments about him. Omegas are looked down on in the omegaverse, and that wasn’t different for Juhyeok, but unlike many MCs, Juhyeok doesn’t allow them to do as they please and resorts to violence. Not the greatest move but that was just to fight against the discrimination. Anyway, my point is, Juhyeok’s reaction is valid, he’s in denial because given his life, it’s a lot to take in.

Am I the only one who finds the uke annoying?
