She's just been really really annoying so far.
She's wants to 'possess' Yuu cuz its like a things with the her n her sister where they're obsessed with their love interest. She wants to get in the way of Yuu's plan without trying to understand him, and the rest of their old team is just following her cuz they don't know any better

I personally don’t “hate” her but shes now so.. bland and uninteresting i liked how she was at the start and the author could’ve done sm w her character arc but no he just chose the sloppiest option which is to change her whole personality to some boy-obsessed over powered girl and whatever, if the point was to make her a “villain” then there could’ve been multiple & more cool ways. And honestly, I think we should towards our hate to the author for his bad writing of characters instead of the characters themselves. Another thing is, the other characters in shinoa’s group downgraded too.. they’re even more boring than shinoa ngl and it’s like the author didn’t know what else to do with them after showing us their backstories, dreams, etc.. it’s genuinely a huge waste of good characters and frankly their existence isn’t even that relevant to the plot anymore. The only thing i like at this point are Mika & Yuu they’re pretty much the only 2 who’s character writing stayed consistent throughout the manga, I give that to the author. Ferid too!! I wasn’t a huge fan of him at the start but learning more about him made him a v compelling character & I’m lowk more interested in him than the whole cast atm lollll. Now I’m just praying the author doesn’t mess up the ending bc I have no idea what gonna happen.

Girl, I think it was rlly obvious the more she obsessed over Yuu the more bland she would become. Before they met, she felt like an individual but now she feels like a leech. If you think abt it, this type of mindset comes from insecurities

How do I upvote replies I agree!! I actually don't even hate Shinoa because the writing got so bad suddenly I can't even think of Shinoa now and Shinoa at the start as the same Not to say characters can't change but the direction was so strange and the transition so unbuilt

Looking back Shinoa at the start and up to Nagoya arc was well done, the only thing you may disliked about her was her trollish attitude, but made sense in context.
I'll always say that, the Shinoa who helped Mika and Yuu run away without looking back was a Shinoa that I wouldn't have minded ending up with Yuu too because she became an amazing support, Kagami choosing to make her a Mahiru 2.0 was the worst decision, I think if he simply followed with the original development of her being the OPPOSITE would've been way better, maybe generic(? Not as edgy, but way Way better of what we got.
Kagami too is already at his limit, he has a more stable writting with Light Novels not manga and it shows, I know he wanted to do a lot with his characters but he can't convert those thoughts into manga format.

Owari no Seraph (Yuu's Story) is a manga, but a lot of the backstory for the side characters like Guren, Ferid and Crowley are Light Novels, Guren's novels also got adapted into a manga.
Takaya Kagami, the author, is a Light Novel author thats why he usually pairs up with someone who takes care of the illustrations so he can focus on the writting.
