Chase better has some insanely tragic backstory that fucks up his brain or Imma drop this in a heart beat

I think it’s understandable the way he acts, he is traumatized. His brother lied to him and told him that he slept with a dog and ever since he is terrified of dogs and obviously has a large wall up between himself and every person he meets. His way of keeping people away is to be aggressive, as seen in chapters before. Josh is the first person he allowed himself to love and care for, this is his first real relationship so it’s a learning process. If there was one person who you finally felt safe to be around and could rely on wouldn’t you be a bit more sensitive in matters pertaining to them? Besides Josh doesn’t exactly allow him to push him around, if he was really upset he wouldn’t just take it I don’t think. This kind of misses some scenes from the novel, but I think I liked chase better there than here, although the art is beautiful.
Honestly it's not his faults but their relationship just feel so imbalance to me. The author doesn't show how Chase can at least once put himself in somebody else's shoes or Josh actually create a boundary without being blinded by Chase's face card. Just a little details could make this alot better
