    It's because when chase started his first rut, he didn't wanna do it with anyone, but chase didn't remember anything after his cycle ended. Grayson being an asshole of a brother, told him that chase did it with a dog. Telling him "what's wrong with doing it with a dog?"

    With no one, he spend his first rut with no one. That was the rut where Grayson paniced and brought his dog and Chase passed out.
    I don't know where you all get the idea it was with Josh. It doesn't make any sense, but I still read it several times in the comments.
