It's because when chase started his first rut, he didn't wanna do it with anyone, but chase didn't remember anything after his cycle ended. Grayson being an asshole of a brother, told him that chase did it with a dog. Telling him "what's wrong with doing it with a dog?"
His second brother told him that he spent his rut with a dog (he didn't, it was with Joshua)
Which lead to Chase being traumatized to dogs
