Like lets not include pre pageant issues into the scoring smh. I thought it was just a conspiracy that someone tweeted. About some judges declining to judge cos mex was already planned to be crowned by the org. But now there mustve been some truths in it. Like even the first or second qna, coted’iviore answered strongly then the rest. To be placed fpurth is diabolical. Even filipinos can see she deserved to win (thats coming from a country who is strongly passionate about pageants and winning)
no she doesnt TT i think that mexicos winning was fair enough she was the only one who spoke up against misogynists and at that time the other girls seemed confused and submisive because of fear to be discualified by a MAN in a woman "empowerment" paegant... sometimes a little act of braveness can change it all and make u outsand from others who are to afraid to shine. NO HATE TO ANY OF THE CONTESTANTS but if yall hating and undersestimating miss mexico's victory that doesnt make yall better that the thai man who insulted her
Yea she was brave for that and it was such an empowering moment. But thats outside the competition (even prelims is not part of the final scoring) to include that as basis of winning defeats the purpose of the competition cos a lot of other candidates as well faced the same situation in less publicized moments, have stood up for themselves, helped others the poor the marginalized etc. but they werent awarded the crown for it did they?
fair? Is that fair, in your opinion? the person who is supposed to win is already planned? Well, no. Although I respect and admire Miss Mexico's protests and arguments against Nawal, her victory is an entirely different matter. Why would the incident be included in the scoring when it occurred before the pageant even started? The judges who were supposed to judge withdrew, claiming that Mexico was selected as the winner before the pageant ever started. In addition, Cote D'Ivoire and the Philippines provided excellent responses in comparison to the rest. Once more, however, the pre-pageant issue was not included in the scoring. There was a plenty evidence that the Miss Uni organization had staged the event in order to make them forget the Nawal issue. There would undoubtedly be questions because Mexico is one of Miss U's co-owners and Thailand (1st place) is one of the owners for miss U. Sending lots love to mexico but if u think about it, the other girls worked hard too.

Cote D’ Iviore deserved to be crowned
