I found it a little boring! First of all he left because he was afraid what his boyfriends mom would think, he was really projecting. And then he had a child with the woman, they decided to be in a platonic relationship to raise their son and she goes, nvm you can have him, I have a gf now so that means I dont want to be a mom!?!?!?! That was so weird!?!?!? Am I being crazy that I find her crazy? Could t she be a mother AND in a queer relationship at the same time?

oh I read it as she didn't really want to be a mom, but felt it was the"normal" thing to do (comp het vibes). getting into a new relationship made her reassess if she wanted to keep the baby, but Jiwan was willing to be a single parent, so she had it with the explicit permission that she didn't have to be a conventional mother (e.g. we see how the the kid calls her "Aunt" )

idk I really liked that portrayal - and also how non judgemental the narrative was of her decision.
