In his first life he had a knee injury, though it was said earlier that it was largely mental rather than physical. Basically a trauma. It used to get worse when it rained and because it’s mental it comes back even in his new body on rainy days
It's been so long so I don't remember, but why exactly his knees hurt everytime it rains?
