yeah which totally explains the change in his demeanor and approach to sex with ML now.. he's like, "it doesn't matter anyway, right? might as go along with this brat." or maybe its an attempt to regain some power in this situation, as the rug was sort of pulled out from under him when ML told him abt the apartment thing
just to clarify, so the texts imply that his coworkwer was staying there/cleared it out for him to take over, and MC is realizing that the dude never even visited the place, much less even tried anything here?? and if that’s true (i could be wrong, someone help LMAOOO), is MC now telling ML to go for it bc he’s now really just giving it his all in hopes of succeeding his original goal? and if so, is it bc he’s pissed tf off and realizing he’s thrown away to a shithole job he was never meant to progress on despite everyone telling him that unlike his coworker, he could make bounds (and maybe thinking his boss knew this, too), or is bc he’s hopeful that this job can be succeeded, since his coworker never gave it his all in the first place?? im assuming the first?
