In the novel, Chu Gioh is described as a two-meter tall older man of 40 years (some of the translation is either off or the author forgot his initial age because it jumped to 40 and 48 a couple times later on). He also has body hair and thick pubes, and his speech is probably about ten times more cringeworthy as well.
The MC says something about not knowing why he’s mostly hairless in the novel (he was saying it’s “a weird form of alopecia or something” when Gioh asked why), but I don’t recall that atrichia was ever mentioned or stated in any capacity.
