To be honest, MC was using everyone to survive. She knew Eclis was the easiest love interest to get to 100, her only goal at that time was to just to finish the game and return back to her own world. Let's not forget that he ruined everything by helping Leila because he thought if Penelope was alone he could stay with her like boy!???

To be honest I get both opinions but I think on another level, Eclis would have never changed even if mc used a different approach rather than manipulating him—there wouldn’t be any difference because he had been obsessed with her from the start. I’m positive he knew that he was getting manipulated ; he’s not a stupid, pure boy—he’s a grown, obsessed man & I think that’s what flys over people’s minds
Facts there rly isn’t an excuse for him to be behaving like a child especially when he did in fact catch on from the beginning. Like yea Penelope played all of them but that doesn’t mean we should be treating him like a baby either he should know better at his big ass age why are we babying a psychopath. He was labeled as that from day one even before she came to the world, her approach didn’t make him like that
Im reminded again why I dropped this (while waitimg for chapters to stack) i hated how the MC used Eclise. I get she feels pressured at that time from all the anxiety and such but to drag someone with u while drowning is so sad and evil.
