I'm not from the US as well but I grew up with their media as my country doesn't produce TV shows, only like 3 movies a year. I've always loved research and books so every time I saw a US show or the news of my country were talking about the US, I asked questions to americans on some platforms, read books and news sources from their country, to find out what was real, and what not, then I grew up and traveled there and is obviously not what you see on TV shows or on mainstream media. Same with SK, except I haven't been able to travel there yet.

The story is based in the US but it looks like author didn't research how schools over there actually works, what rural is, or the how the society over in the US interacts, the skin comment and how the school looks were a big away, skincare for man is not as important for men in the US so no one would be commenting on his skin lol, i bet there won't be many poc either. But I think this is funny, because there's people that have an idealized SK as well HAHAHHAH
