I get what you mean but sometimes long term abuse can make people emotionally regress, it doesn’t have anything to do with age. If someone close to you hurts you then it won’t matter if you’re 15 or 35, it still hurts the same… and it will affect you unless you find a way to heal yourself which I don’t think she ever had the mental or emotional space to do for herself. She only recently got out of a relationship and found herself in another without proper time to reflect.
