Probably he and his wife don't have or can't have kids, so the wife doesn't mind where he gets a kid from (as a joke), or maybe he is a really loyal husband that his wife is so sure he would not cheat on her so she says that as a joke... personally I read that phrase as the wife joking with him...
Can someone explain what the Japanese guy meant by when he said my wife told me I should have a child outside of the house? Especially since these were official translations, it left me stumped.
