sejin is so unreasonable. He tells ido all that, that he hasn't forgiven him and that they're better apart, ofc ido will tell him it's okay to end things. What ido wants is sejin to decide things on his own terms and he doesn't want to make things difficult for sejin. The fact itself he cries, means he's just saying what he thinks sejin wants to hear.

And how is that making Sejin unreasonable? You just stated facts.

Decide for him??? Ido is a coward. He sends mix signals, he push and pull, making Sejin UNDECIDED. And he's always crying like Sejin is bul**ing him.

he’s not though. one of the biggest themes in this story is sejins desire for stability. he was constantly walking on eggshells around his family to try and keep them happy and wants his emotions clearly reciprocated but ido is holding back. he is not looking for ido to make a decision, he already made up his mind which is why he was annoyed and sad at ido being okay with ending things. they have love for eachother, what’s being shown right now on both ends is fear, not indecisiveness.

sejin wants to make sure he isnt abandoned again, and ido wants sejin to be free instead of trapped in a relationship like he has been his whole life.

have we been reading the same chapter? as i said: my entire point was that the reason he tells sejin that he's gotten over him is that that's what he thinks sejin wants to hear. After sejin told him that he hasn't forgiven him and that they're better apart, ofc ido will tell him it's okay to end things! ofc ido hopes that sejin will choose him. But he knows that Sejin needs to make a decision on his own terms, not to read into what ido wants. That's why I said that ido can't make the choice for him. that's unreasonable.

Ido may have acted like a coward in the past but it's not right to call him a coward NOW of all times. if you call ido a coward, then sejin is one too, since both can't be bothered to be sincere about their feelings.

that's one way to see it. But blaming on ido the fact that he's holding back after all that spiel on "I haven't forgiven you and we're better apart", that's ridiculous. That was sejin protecting his own feelings while ido was offering his heart on a silver platter. Sejin's decision wavered the instant ido said that he got over him, like "if he doesn't want me then there's no point". Ofc fear plays an important part on both sides but what did sejin even want from him?! and does ido deserve to be called a coward for it? sejin said ido's answer wouldn't matter. But it did. Maybe I worded that badly, but that's i meant by saying that "he's waiting for ido to decide for him".

since this is mangago, i guess it's alright to be sincere.

yeah, ofc. but on this damn site you cannot defend the main lead that everyone takes it personally. I'm tired.

Ido is STILL a coward. He can just confess now, now that they both know the truth about the past and the present. But he won't. Sejin is giving him the chance to. Then from that, Sejin GETS to decide. That's his call after all.

From the last parts of the chapter, I think Sejin will actually give their relationship a chance though, but Ido said those words that HE THINKS are what Sejin wants to hear, not HIS truth. And that's cowardly.

i think you misinterpreted the chapter because that is not what was going on it was a “what if” scenario, once again playing out sejins fears. what he wanted from ido was real confirmation, protecting himself after being betrayed isnt an odd thing at all. i wouldnt say his decision wavered, he came prepared with an item and a speech because he planned to stick to it. why would you go on to confess to someone who you know doesnt like you anymore? his expectation was for him to still have feelings for him and thats why his answer would not have mattered.

no, i didn't misinterpreted anything, it's just that you choose to defend sejin, I choose to defend ido. Sejin talked in an hypothetical manner, yes, but it's what he said that made ido tell him what he did. This whole discussion started because I took pity on ido and commented that sejin was being unreasonable, wanting ido to ignore what he himself had said.

They BOTH made the same mistake out of fear, talking shit instead of being sincere. But Ido's mistake is, in my opinion, reasonable, bc of the entire situation. He was trying to ease Sejin into the task of leaving him. Ido gets he's not in the position of deciding anything.

"why would you go on to confess to someone who you know doesnt like you anymore?"
Look, i get your point. But what I'm saying is that he said ido's answer wouldn't matter. His resolve wavering will be a problem because I bet my hat Ido will do something to himself. If you want to see it as Sejin being annoyed and not as a "he wavered" thing, whatever. Potato potato. I already said I worded this sentence poorly: "he's unreasonable because sejin hopes throughout the chapter that ido will decide for him. jeez". What I meant by that was that his agency extends as far as Ido is still interested in him and that will create problems.

If you don't agree, free to disagree.
