Right?!?!! I'm so glad someone else agrees. I didn't care about them at all, and it seemed like they got more focus than the actual MAIN COUPLE. Their scenes were so excessive I just wanted to skip them all(and did). The amount of explicit content was wild and and luckily leaving them out didn't affect my understanding of the plot at all. However it’s definitely still worth the read ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

They consider the dude with dark blue hair and his partner as a side couple cause they weren’t the focus in the first season. Which makes sense because the actual main couple/character is included in the cover and description. Just the fact that neither of the side pair is mentioned in the description shows they weren’t part of the mains originally. If this story had two main couples, they should’ve included that in the description from the start rather than adding it in later or in the authors note at the end of the season.

Thats fair. Altho the author's saying is already enough reason for them to be the main characters too at this point. The author can have a change in mind while working on the story. Maybe they realised that they can flesh out more from them as 4 so thats why they clarified that 4 of them are the mcs and main cps

Thats why calling them side cp or side chara will undervalue the author's placement for them. They are not side cp/chara anymore and they have more role in the current arc, thats why they are mentioned more. I'm sure after this arc is done (hopefully soon because the jaw is kinda dealed with by now) the author will go back to eunjae-san

Even now 704 and the goblin's love story has no progress at all. The current arc seems to be focusing more on the fantasy genre and the world building. Its like the author just throw 704-goblin's moments for romance flavour so it still feels like a BL

Yeah but no one can be mad at readers who don’t like how the story went in a direction they didn’t initially sign up for. I feel like the author could’ve changed the description once they decided to have 4 main characters instead. I doubt the description is permanent. It also shows that there isn’t a good balance between the screen-time of characters when so many readers point it out. If the author really did a good job of writing the story so each pair has 50/50 screen-time I doubt there’d be as much of an issue. I mean eunjae who was named in the description hardly has screen time anymore.

It feels like bait. It’s the same case whenever an author promotes their story with a specific couple everywhere (cover, description, art on social media), only to make the mc end up with some other random that was never shown in those promotions. The only exception is make for the author switching up the couples is if it’s a spin off sequel already. (Ex: golden pair being a spin off/sequel of safari game. Which should’ve been expected that the OG main characters would come back in the sequel/spin off). IMO I think the only way authors can easily make good balance for more than one couple is giving each couple their own full season or having the second couple be in their own spin off story.

Oh btw I'm not mad to anyone, I'm just saying calling them side cp isnt right anymore. For the description, it might be because 704 and geumsun doesnt show up early and their appearance is kinda "spoiler" story-wise. They are not the mcs at first anyway. Altho I do agree the author should've change the cover so its 4 of them, Idk if they changed it on the legal website or not

I didnt like how 704 and geumsun progressing because for me the author throws them to the current arc "just because". I wish they stop doing it but it seems that they are kinda progressing now, kinda too late for that but anyway. They might throw 704 and geumsun for the romance flavour because they saw a portion of the fandom liking their dynamic and its still not the time yet for san and eunjae's development. Maybe san and eunjae's story will clash with the current arc's problem because their relationship has more depth in the world setting
