I feel like this is such a mature and reasonable way to be handling this situation from them. I know that if I were in Ido’s shoes here, I would probably be doing the exact same thing. I don’t want to beg or say that I haven’t given up my feelings because I don’t want to put any sort of pressure on the other person. If I beg, that could make them feel guilty and that’s the last thing I would want, especially because Sejin has consistently given indications that he doesn’t really want to continue anything (even tho that’s obviously not true). The one thing Ido wants is for Sejin to be free and he’s trying to prevent his feelings from being any sort of obstacle in that (even if he doesn’t do the best job of it at time). Meanwhile Sejin is still just figuring out what he even wants and trying to process both his current feelings and his trauma from his past life, so it’s fair that he’s giving these kind of mixed signals on what he wants here, even to himself. This feels like such a realistic way to portray what would be happening in this moment from two people who genuinely care for each other

Also, just throwing this in there, begging is inherently selfish and Idol is trying to be as selfless as physically possible. It makes sense that he wouldn’t beg.
