Yeah I feel the same, id rather the story had stayed focused on Kang and Yiyoung and their relationship, the Doyeon thing went on for way too long. I mean we knew the director wasn't going to breakup with Yiyoung to be with Doyeon so the entire flashback only annoyed me tbh. Yes it sucks to have an unrequited love for years, but no way does that give him the right to try to ruin the happy relationship. Thankfully that guy is leaving in a few chapters back to where he came from,

Honestly I couldn't give less than a fuck about Doyeon. Sure he serves some purpose for the story but all the unnecessary drama he caused was so boring—wait no, not boring cause we get to see director Kang be possessive and jealous because of him. But yeah, he just feels like a backstory catalyst, which I guess is nice so we can know more about director Kang. And his personality is absolute shit.
