She wasn't actually. She ran away from an abusive relationship and left Hyesung there....not that his dad would have let her take him though.....she met a new partner and moved on. Hyesung thought she was dead....no one told him that, that's just the only conclusion he could draw for why she didn't come back for him.

I’m sorry but she is. She left ALONE leaving her child knowing the dad is abusive. A good mom would take their child and protect them, even if they had to struggle out in the streets. She also could’ve returned for him when she was settled but no, she completely ignored his existence and started a new family. So clearly she didn’t care for him.

SHE IS A BITCH.
She TRADED her child for freedom. She could leave her child if she has no choice, then she can watch and keep him safe from afar. YET, SHE DIDN'T EVEN TAKE A MOMENT OF LITTLE CHECK UP FOR HER OWN CHILD. She went and build another family. Trying to bury the past, INCLUDING HER OWN CHILD. When the end family know about her past, they left her. DESERVED, who want to be with someone who abandoned their own child.

One other very important thing the previous comments didn't mention is that she literally just came back to Hyesung when she found out Hyesung got married to Dojin. She literally only came back for him for the money for sure.

Y'all have abandonment issues irl or something. Many women have to make choices like that. Struggle on the street? So expose the kid to even more danger, potential starvation, assault, or even death? I'm not saying that what she did was okay, but all these comments trying to project characterizations onto her are just wild, and I am saying this as a real life therapist.

Look you can say that she had her reasons for leaving him but I fear that does not disregard the fact that shes a bitch. Like the other comments said, if she truly cared for him she would have came back for him. But she only did that when she had found out Hyesung had gotten married. Not to mention, one of the first things she tells Hyesung when they meet again is "You didn't come looking for me either?", what kind of mother says that to a child that they ADMITTED to abandoning?? And IF SHE TRULY wanted what was best for Hyesung, she would have left him and his family alone! Im sorry but even though I understand she had her reasons and that she was also a victim to her husband, it doesnt change the fact that shes a bitch! Two things can be right at once!
