I think picking and choosing sides is dumb as fuck right now to everyone arguing in the comments. Juhyeoks's inferiority concept and his own sheer HATRED of omegas and being an omega is weird as fuck. It's like internalized misogyny. He hates omegas. He hates being an omega. That's discriminatory to others. And himself. And he doesn't want to realize that as soon as he accepts it and accepts help, because it's not weak to need help, he'll feel better and be on tip top shape. And Suah of course isn't a fucking angel either. Yes he may have good intentions (although not pure) and yes he wants to protect the person he loves but doing it without CONSENT and stalking him is not helping his case!! But it's hard to reach Juhyeok any other method. He doesn't answer calls. He doesn't listen to him. He knows he has an irregular heat and goes out not being prepared being a public nuisance to others. So if he gets rescued he's relieved but he's mad because he has to rely on an alpha. You idolized the thought of being an alpha but then you also hate alpha's at the same time. Yet you also surround yourselves with them (obvs not willingly bcs Judo seems to not be an omega dominated sport but he could get omega friends or something tf) but there's things he could do like using a separate locker room or stuff for HIS SAFETY. Because there's a huge risk in falling into heat in a room full of damn alpha's (naked might I add). They're both selfish as hell. But issues like those take time to resolve and are complex. Selfishness is human after all. Hopefully it will get better or I'll just drop this and stop reading lol I've read enough BL that dragging the issue on and miscommunication isn't hitting rn if it's not done correctly.

Your description and explanation is so beautiful put and I agree with everything you’ve said, I read this after I wrote mine and I feel like this story has a lot of potential. I’d be so happy if they actually address and work on Juhyeok‘s omega misogyny bc I feel like that’s the number one thing that never really happens in omegaverse. He probably would be in a loving relationship with Suah already if the roles were reversed or if they were both alphas even

ABSOLUTELY!! Even if they were both alpha's they'd probably started dating or if the roles were reversed. He sees something inherently WRONG with omegas. And that they're weak. He's not weak so he denies his entire biology. And it's so fucking ODD. Like where did this come from? Would he be a piece of shit alpha who's omega misogynist if he presented as an alpha? He was a little shit to those nice omegas in the neighborhood that came to cheer him up when he was little and he still now as an adult has no omega friends cause I see NONE in sight around him. I think there's gonna be a side couple and it's an omega so they might become friends/acquaintances? Hopefully!! And it's a dominant omega too.

And like I want to see a perspective of Suah. Everything he's gone through looking after Juhyeok because he has to tail him as much as he can 24/7 to keep the person he loves safe because he's reckless. And it sucks that he would get jumped during his heat since it can come at any moment it's fucking HORRIBLE but like he doesn't stay prepared!! Suah HAS to follow him around for his safety and that of others. He's not an innocent guy and his intentions are not being properly expressed but Juhyeok isn't making the situation any easier.

I’m so curious to find out where he got this behavior from as well. His friends (the alpha& beta who I think are also going to be a side couple) seem supportive and so does his coach. His mom went out of her way to celebrate and also give him a support system which he violently rejected. I’m wondering if it’s his other alpha parent that we haven’t met? I think he probably wouldn’t think about omegas at all but not in a “alphas are better” way but a “that doesn’t effect me so I don’t care” way. I thought about it a bit more and now I’m thinking maybe he and Suah would still have issues if they were both alphas bc Juhyeok seems to have such a rigid way of thinking. Juhyeok might have ended up one of those “no homo” types, toxic masculinity. I think no matter what Juhyeok has some deep insecurities. I really hope he does become friends with that other omega you mentioned and gets some respect for his gender and other omega.
I also want to see a perspective of Suah. He presented before Juhyeok and was keeping it a secret, probably because he knew he wouldn’t be able to be Juhyeok’s “wife”, he also had an image of his life as an omega that was destroyed. I agree that Suah is definitely wrong in a lot of his actions but I can definitely see why he goes about things with Juhyeok the way he does. Especially if he was raised by an omega parent, he probably sees all the issues that Juhyeok ignores. He’s so attentive to the point where I wonder why he would hold on such a pure love for someone who hates what you represent(being the alpha Juhyeok should been) and probably doesn’t even realize their real issue is with themselves.

I’m not fully disagreeing with you but it seems a lot of Juhyeok’s inferiority complex comes down to him being the only omega in his entire family, alongside his physical capabilities being limited in his own sport. I don’t think he hates omegas, but since he rejects every part of his omega identity + he lashed out at his omega neighbors (out of embarrassment and frustration, which I’m not justifying btw) , I could see why you would view it that way. Before he presented his secondary gender, he assumed suah would end up an omega and even considered marrying him to “protect” him. Juhyeok seems to have notions as to what gender means, the role you play accordingly, and how that affects your identity as a whole. He grew up thinking he would be one thing (top of the hierarchy, a protector), and it turns out he was something he never expected himself to be (somewhere near the bottom, someone who needs to be saved). I think his personality is a lot more nuanced than just being an asshole because he’s an angry discriminatory guy

He does seem to think that omegas are inherently weaker, especially compared to alphas (unsure about his stance on betas). I think a core theme of this story will be what his coach tells him—that softness can overcome hardness. Juhyeok is a stubborn guy, who has stubborn opinions, most likely based on assumptions and experiences on the differences between omegas vs alphas. I don’t think he truly thinks omegas are less than or less deserving than alphas, but that there is a struggle to meet the alpha standard from where he is currently is. Obviously he isn’t an alpha, but a recessive omega. His journey will be to unlearn his toxic mindset + understand the side of the hierarchy he never thought he would be part of. To become a positive and strong representation for omegas who doubt their strength in a society that overlooks and abuses them. So I’m rooting for him, and Su ah as well (I kinda avoided talking about him but there’s a lot to be said about him and his behavior lmaooo)

Hmm but he's the ACE of the Judo department so far?? We're our own biggest critics so I understand where he would see or justify his weakness as the fault of only his secondary gender but at the same time it doesn't make sense because he's the best Judo athlete in his university and even his entire team and coach think so + that he can go to the Olympics that he dreams too. He actually has very nice supportive ppl around him. Obviously it wouldn't erase previous instances of experiencing discrimination in his life for being an omega but still it would affect a person being in a positive competition environment. But being unstable is not gonna help him get there lol I understand he lashed out of disappointment and embarrassment since he had this ideals of who he wanted to be when growing up but like we never got to see if he apologized or something (yet, still early) so he's still a dick. He grew up with discriminatory views that alpha's are superior and at the top of the hierarchy. That omegas are weak. They're complex characters so he's not just an asshole (that we know of for now). But we'll see.

Hopefully?? I hope he gets omega friends !! :( he needs to unlearn this toxic mindset. And hopefully it doesn't drag on. Or he does something insane/unforgivably And yeah Suah isn't an angel and ppl trying to say so or justify his behavior aren't it. It's not justified but I can see where he's coming from. Rather than justified it's explained so far by other factors. But Juhyeok ain't either. I hate when ppl enjoy literacy superficially and don't realize that characters have multiple facets. That's the main part of a good well written story. A character develops throughout. There's nuances. People change. That's what makes reading fun. If you read something and feel something in you moved, like you view the characters to the point of like huh they're like REAL people and not characters, the author did a fantastic job.

You're so right you've given me a new perspective. He's in a family of alpha's and we've only met his mom. Not his other parent like maybe his father or his other mother (can't assume tbh) or if he has any older siblings or distant relatives. That can definitely impact him since it isn't strange we've seen it before on other manhwas "oh a family of alpha's an omega was born was a disgrace to such pure superior lineage" and some fucking bullshit like that. And yeah I truly wish he gets omega friends and starts accepting himself. As for what I meant he may have turned into a no homo type of guy? Maybe. But what I meant is the tension between them probably would have built up faster and they would be closer friends so I think they would get together maybe faster than it will take in this story. Idk if you get what I mean.

And yeah Suah did present before him. Some people may even say they BOTH presented very early like precocious? I've never seen stories were they present so early like that. They either are born with their secondary gender or get a test during middle school and start presenting around then when puberty starts. Huh. That's interesting! You're right Suah was totally okay thinking about presenting as an omega just so he could be with Juhyeok and marry him :( I feel he wouldn't care what they were. He would just love Juhyeok. And hey respectfully he hasn't made a move until know that they're adults even if it was a bad decision made under the effect of being pheromone "drunk" because of his heat. He was raised in an omega household so maybe that's why he's extra aware of omega issues and why he can probably keep tabs on Juhyeok via scent and scent changes and scents him because he knows it helps him stabilize. I feel Juhyeok also partially blames Suah for presenting as an omega because being exposed to his dominant pheromones alpha's can cause that in this universe. I feel like he probably also feels a bit or somewhat very guilty about it. Which sucks cause they were kids! They didn't have control over what happens!! Maybe that's why Juhyeok won't accept the help from him and being scented. You'd think he would as an athlete consider his health the top priority and if just getting scented by an alpha could help his irregular heats which he can track and plan around he would be able to live a more regular life. But he hates alpha's and idolizes them at the same time. He's stubborn. Thinks omegas are weak and I'm not weak so fuck omegas and being an omega. And fuck Suah who can actually help me... Why idk. It's not like they need to have sex for get his alpha pheromones on him. He can scent him with like saliva or just his body making contact hmm. He's such a complicated character.
