ml has a brain the size of a pea. mc is right behind him. there is absolutely no world outside their little bubble, as in, this world has not been built or explained. i can’t help but notice the utter lack of detail in this whenever they’re miraculously doing something other than having sex. they have only ever been seen in 4 locations: the castle, the church, the count’s estate, and 2 different basements. the mc gets kidnapped TWICE. both incidents are absolutely ridiculous. he was kidnapped for no reason. it did nothing to the plot except serve as a way to stress the ml out and make the whole wide world worry for him, when in reality there was never any danger. as cute as they are with their constant blushing and shyness and yap about virginity and sluts and sex, there is nothing beyond that. symrna and capri is an example of a story with something more. maybe i would have liked this when i was like… 14.
It’s fine if the story isn’t ur taste, but dropping into the comments just to rant about how “shallow” it is and compare it to a completely different author is… lol. Not every manhwa needs to be Smyrna and Capri–level heavy just to be enjoyable. Some of us actually like light, simple stories that don’t revolve around endless world-building or constant trauma arcs.
If it didn’t work for you, cool. But u don't have to waste ur time writing a whole breakdown about how the plot isn’t deep enough, doesn't make sense enough. U don’t have to keep reading it. People are allowed to make n enjoy cute, low-stakes BL without needing it to be a masterpiece. The author is proud of her work but here u are calling it ass.
girl then don’t read my reply lol THEY asked me why this story wasn’t for me and i explained. it’s a comment section ofc i’m going to voice my opinion after reading half of it and deciding i didn’t like it. not like im trying to convince you to dislike it. that’s like saying you can’t give a book a bad rating on goodreads because the author is proud of it, or you can’t give a game a bad rating because the developers care about it. i offered valid critiques and a work i DID like so they understand why i said “ts so ass.” if you dislike my critiques, then move on knowing that YOU like it and that that’s good enough. tsk
