dreadful night — mc and a group of his friends are trapped in a slasher video game, and everytime the mc dies the loop resets in a “session” of sorts, mc is trying to get all the endings so he can gtfo already, while at the same time the other boys slowly throughout the ongoing story start to show small but subtle signs they all know what’s up and more then the mc himself knows

reunion — mc, in order to fend for himself and his younger brother while mom was sick in the hospital takes up an unexpected offer of cross dressing as a deceased granddaughter for a whole summer because ml’s grandpa is terminally ill and doesn’t know the real granddaughters dead, and the ml’s family wants him to eventually die in peace and.. it kinda low-key goes downhill for ‘both’ ml after that since they both gain feelings for one another but seemingly can’t be together because ml’s family needs to be all personally clocked lmao

madk — gruesome, repulsive, I wouldn’t recommend this one unless you’re fine with gore but the surprising and bittersweet ending imo made it worth the read, as it’s about an mc who makes a literal deal with a demon and in return becomes his servant in hell while learning how hell actually works and what not while waiting to become a demon in due time

kwak ha-jun's observation diary — this one is just soft and sweet as can be since it’s about a high schooler gamer mc who meets a popular classmate who looks exactly like his own favourite video game character

dreaming of the dokkaebi — this one.. oh boy do you feel for the ml since he’s been trapped for a thousand years and wants his deceased beloved flame back and meets the mc who.. has his beloveds face but not his personality or memories, while it’s heavily implied mc ‘is’ him but not confirmed, while poor ml is so desperate for his flame back and can’t separate mc and his old flame as two completely different people

legendary dick vs ironclad butthole — I know the name sounds wild and a turn off but it’s actually really good, as it’s about two high school playboys hence the respective series name who originally made a bet with one another regarding sex because horny teenagers, but surprisingly fall in love genuinely with one another and despite fucking like rabbits because.. again teenagers, they’re really sweet toward one another and absolutely meet each others freak

minor ending side note: if you haven’t read between the lines already please do, we’re all children of angsty divorce in the current season, and runo plum’s new album patching as reading background music, more so the specific track elephant off the album fits the current season too well agh

forgot to also mention occult romantic comedy, it’s a hidden little gem about an occult detective and an actor who work together to solve a case, with ml low-key giving zhenya fron CN: A vibes so far

I have unexpectedly returned with one more recommendation I promise! drunk punch love is really good but holy shit does the ml need to personally get decked at the start with his attitude and behaviour toward the mc who did nothing wrong

it’s about an mc who likes bl stories secretly and has a mega sweet crush on his popular coworker ml who’s such a fucking unlikeable cunt toward mc in the beginning, not even ml’s own traumatic past made me like him at first lmao if anything it dislike him more as boo-hoo you have lifelong mommy and daddy issues so don’t take it out on mc you actual prick grow up like everybody else (sorry for the rant, just had to say that)

but otherwise the plot is really funny and sweet, and ml ‘does’ thank god get his own thick skulled head out his own ass at some point
