The spoilers were misleading

When I first started reading this from Season 1, I looked up novel spoilers that had summaries for all 3 parts. I have been gravely misled. I was led to believe that Kloff exacted his revenge on Aeroc precisely bc of what Aeroc did to Raphael and of course he had mixed feelings for him as well. But according to some readers of the novels, that isn't the case. He apparently never loved Raphael which makes things worse. If that is true, Idk why the author would do that...

For me personally, I like to interpret it as Kloff was conflicted bc Aeroc was an alpha and yes he was attracted to him but he also grew to love Raphael. When Raphael was murdered, he lost all sense of logic and sanity and wanted to get revenge. But his complicated feelings for Aeroc including attraction, messed up affection, longing, and hatred for what he did results in the aftermath we see.

Now for this current season, I really don't like how clear Kloff remembers the past life and how exaggerated both his and Aeroc's reactions are...There isn't enough nuance to even speculate how much Kloff remembers or how his character is diff from the past. In fact, we just heard his awful subconscious thoughts and it just makes me think he hasn't changed at all.

Lastly, I will say this ALWAYS, the omegaverse rules have never been explained. I only know this from comments and the little bit of lore they drop which is supposedly, the way bonding works, isn't necessarily through a bite and the alpha or omega can be unaware. When they are separated, it pains them so physically, it can cause vomitting of blood or decline in health. Also it is not explicitly explained or conveyed to readers that if I'm correct, bonding makes the alpha incredibly possessive to the point of aggression like toxic aggression of wanting to keep the person chained to you.

If the lore was more explicitly explained and conveyed, I feel readers might've been more receptive to the way Kloff acts but regardless I think it is overboard. Contrary to popular opinion, I have the biggest problem with how the author chose to deal with the trauma in this 2nd season rather than all the rape, abuse and torture from the first season.

Well, when you look at how Kloff acts in all 3 timelines its clear that Raphiel is a replacement for Aeroc. Characters mentioning how much he looks like Aeroc is intentional. Its never the other way around. If Kloff had any real attraction to Raphiel he couldve married him easily in this timeline, but he didnt. Plus Raphiel has a true pair so I think the author wanted to avoid any messiness with that.

Kloff isnt supposed to remember anything from the first timeline so there's no reason for us to expect him to change. The past life he's remembering he thinks of as a ludicrous dream.

The bonding is not what makes Kloff possessive and aggressive, Kloffs personality was already like that, and since he had that dream of his past life where he went to the extreme he's subconsciously acting from that.

I think the story would be bogged down if everything were explained flat out as there's enough context clues and discussions surrounding the omegaverse in this story that you can get a good enough idea of whats going on.

Oh I knew Raphiel was a replacement for Aeroc from the very beginning. However, the insinuation that he never loved Raphiel at all puts a much darker and unsavory outlook on Kloff's motivations in the first timeline. As I said, this is based off novel reader/commenters who said he never loved Raphiel in the first timeline. Personally I interpret it as he did have feelings for Raphiel as well as for Aeroc. The scene where Raphiel is dying and Kloff's immense heartbroken reaction tells us just that.

As for Kloff changing, I may have misspoken but the whole point of 3 diff timelines I would assume is for characters to act differently and as a result different outcomes would come about. Here in the 2nd timeline, you can say bc Aeroc knew about his poor investment choices from the previous life, he sought out Kloff's advice and therefore, resulted in them getting closer and being unable to resist the attraction towards each other.

From just reading the first season, I just assumed Kloff was not an inherently violent man, which is why I said I thought he would be different in the 2nd timeline. Again, it was hinted at that he did what he did bc of what Aeroc did to his mate along with some complicated feelings towards Aeroc,

Again, from commenters, I remember someone mentioning he was so aggressive and possessive bc of the bonding. Idk how accurate it is bc now I've heard both opinions. I find it realistic to believe it to be bc of bonding precisely bc we know so little about omegaverse rules here AND in both timelines, it is told to us that he has bonded to Aeroc and in both cases has become possessive and aggressive.

Other things don't need to be explained but omegaverse rules I think should be more explicitly conveyed if it is so different to your typical rules. I wouldn't have a problem with it tbh had I not read a comment suggesting bonding = aggression.

Reminder that Kloff is shown to regularly go out and beat people in the slums, so yes I'd say he's always been an aggressive person. Also Raphiel broke off the relationship in the 2nd timeline because of Kloff showing his violent side off.

Oh I didn't realize that. I assumed it was bc of the flashbacks from Raphiel getting raped and beaten as well as Aeroc that made his subconscious self go out to inflict harm in the slums. For the 2nd timeline, I thought Raphiel broke it off bc he realized Kloff was infatuated/in love with Aeroc.

I did specifically read the part where Raphiel broke off with Kloff and yes he was appalled by how brutally he attacked the other person but the ultimate reason was bc he saw Kloff was clearly in love with Aeroc. He literally says in an inner dialogue about how Kloff was so focused on Aeroc and how he doesn't want a man in love with someone else. It was stated that Raphiel's father broke the engagement off bc of Kloff's assault, not necessarily bc Raphiel was scared. The regular outing to beat ppl in the slums, I can't answer for that. I never meant that Kloff was a good person but it seems ppl only view him in a bad light without the right context.
