The comment is low-key giving "I can excuse racism but I draw the line at animal cruelty!" It's a metaphor. Seunghyun adopted Tora. He give tora love and affection and yuta is trying to get Seunghyun to like him by acting weak and then leave him or betray him just to hurt him after as a revenge. He is not gonna kill the dog and he didn't hurt the dog btw. He takes care of tora and feed Tora when Seunghyun is at work and takes him on walk. Pretty sure there's a panel of tora and yuta sleeping on the same bed. ( -_-) Yuta is just trying to gain Seunghyun trust and affection.
