i feel like the average reading comprehension of most of the ppl reading this story declines by 30% each chapter. anyways! juheon has done nothing wrong, dohu is a grown man able to deal with the consequences of his own actions, and is THANKFULLY mature and intelligent enough to recognize this and take action to fix his mistakes! the only reason yall have this much pity is bc we were shown how the timeskip affected dohu and dohu only. you are all under the spells of focalization omg . let dohu slowly but surely rebuild juheons trust and then we can get some smut pls i beg

Thank you. You’re like one sane people in these comments because people want them to make up and kiss already instead of enjoying this slow progression of Dohu and juheon regaining trust between each other. I feel like if the author did that, it would do a disservice to the characters, their growth, and the progression of their relationship.

There’s this level of instant gratification of them wanting to get back together but then, what next? There’s a purpose as to why their relationship (essentially) started on a lie (or for dohu’s personal gain). Only for that relationship spread further and change into something more for both characters. So when the truth came out, it hurt a lot but was also interesting and set up something more in the future. How both completely reverted to their original selves (if not worse) after they broke up and how this season is to regain trust despite being worse off and regrowing into a better version of their self.
(Like I know what the author is doing but idk how to explain it properly)

Personally, I enjoy the angst because it’s actually interesting and not completely going into “edgy” territory, like there’s a level of realism involved. The tension and conflict between the characters are really entertaining to read and I’m curious what they’ll do or how they’ll handle certain situations that involve both of them.

I get Juheon is severely traumatized, but leaving and ghosting someone completely without any explanation is never the way to solve relationship issue. I hope none of you does that or experience that, because that is traumatizing. Even if Juheon wants to break up which he has all the rights to do so, he should have never left without saying a word, and not giving Dohu any chance to talk. I'm honestly baffled how people can say Juheon does nothing wrong when he is just as culpable as Dohu for their relationship falling apart. If every problem they have ends with Juheon leaving for good, their relationship would never last. Both characters need growing. Dohu for obvious reason, but Juheon as well.

juheon doesn’t owe dohu anything actually. and you don’t owe anyone that has hurt you explanations for cutting them off either. and idk where everyone is getting this “he didn’t even give dohu a chance to explain himself” thing from when juheon literally gave dohu MULTIPLE chances to explain himself after he found out the truth. go re-read the end of s1. dohu HAS apologized, he DID explain himself and told juheon that regardless of his orginial intentions he genuinely has feelings of him. juheon was literally feeding the words he wanted to hear from dohu to him at one point. the whole point and core of their falling out is juheon no longer has any trust in dohu. he believes dohu is jst another one of the ppl in his life that jst wanted to use him. so anything dohu says to him, the confessions, the “i still like you’s”, means nothing to him. he thinks it’s all empty words bc that’s what he grew up with. the only “crime” juheon has committed so far was trying to get dohu to leave his job. that’s it, that’s all. he definitely didn’t have a hand in their falling out, that’s utterly ridiculous .

yes to everything u jst said. honestly i kinda wish the author would even up the angst, but that’s jst me. ppl keep treating this like surface level romance drama when the whole point of this arc is literally the aftermath. we watched dohu fall apart during the timeskip, so readers automatically pity him but that doesn’t erase the fact that juheon was equally (if not more) hurt as well. we jst haven’t seen it yet. this season is about rebuilding, not instant gratification

and honestly the pacing is doing EXACTLY what it needs to do. if they got back together already it would ruin everything the author set up: the lie, the fallout, the 4-year downfall, the way they’ve both reverted and are slowly crawling their way out again. none of that would matter if they jumped straight to “okay i forgive u let’s date again”.

for juheon, the walls make complete sense: the one person he let in confirmed his biggest fear, that ppl only get close to him when they want something. he loved dohu bc he saw him as honest and straightforward… and then that got ripped out under him. so ofc he’s not listening

and for dohu, we’re seeing someone who knows he messed up but also doesn’t know what the “right” fix even looks like. he’s a bit impulsive and not the best at emotional expression, so all he really knows how to do is put himself in juheon’s orbit and try to be honest in the only way he can. but juheon not believing him doesn’t mean he should stop trying. it means the work is gonna be slow, messy, and uncomfortable… which is literally the point. and knowing dohu’s stubborn character, he’s built for this lol. he’ll be jst fine

that’s why i’m loving this arc so much. the angst, the tension feels real, and we’re watching them actually grow instead of skipping straight to fanservice. ppl begging for them to just kiss and move on are missing the bigger picture sooo bad the payoff is gonna be crazy once the trust actually sticks again
