This is a list I made of "legit historical" stories in the sense that the plot takes place in a real country during an historical period and not just another world that vaguely ressembles the past.
Among them you can find straight love or no romance (No GL though)
It's in no particular order
I don't really know which one particularly focus on politics or corruption though
