also for readers, while grayson is a bastard i do think its due to the way hes grown up, in his twisted mind thats him protecting his brother from essentially dying with the a/b/o rules in their verse so i cant fully see him as evil, just a product of the environment

Chase also grew up in that environment, but he didn't turn out like them

It's not just the way he was raised. Grayson also has mental problems. He's not really evil, he likes Chase and thinks he's helping. His crazy mind doesn't understand the harm he's doing because he can't identify his own feelings or those of others. This starts to change when he meets Dane. Dane is the one who will take Grayson on a journey to understand his own feelings and those of others. But read Desire Me If You Can. Grayson's crazy way of thinking and acting is hilarious.

There is a reason for it. You can guess the why when you read the novel, but you can't when you only read the manhwa, one of the reasons is that the artist made a mistake with Chase's eyecolor as a child. And you know if you read the story of the parents or of his siblings.
It has do with when they manifest as a dominant alpha, that's something they have no influence on. In the novel at the beginning it was mentioned that depending when they manifest they are more likely to turn into psychopaths, if before puberty it's more likely. Chase manifested late and therefore understands emotions, but tends to be violent. That was also mentioned.

The Millers have 4 dominant alpha children that manifested before they were 5 years old. And Grayson was born manifested. So they were not normal from the start, didn't understand emotions etc. And at some point the father saw himself forced to get his children under controle, depending on the child I he used different methodes. Grayson was the one he focused on the most.
Since Chase wasn't manifested as a child and understood emotions, he sufferend under the situation more, and they pretty early gave him the opportunity to become an actor, so he had contact with people outside of the family.

yeah I’ve read all of this novel and im planning to read Graysons, the further on developments in this story make you realise that there’s something like functionally wrong with his mental processing not him intentionally thinking he’s causing harm, it doesn’t help he’s in a society that reinforces his thinking

that’s…. Not how it works? people can be affected differently by the same situation, I don’t know if you’ve read the novel but I have so I can clearly stand on my stance
