Season 2 is so disappointing

I was so so so so into this webcomic but with Season 2 it feels like it's losing me. Horus turning into a ho-hum horny yandere wasn't something I wanted to happen, especially since it feels like he switched personality just like that ever since he and Seth slept together in the temple. Not to mention that I thought that Seth's rape at the hands of Osiris back in Season 1 was brutal but well done in its horrific nature, but for Horus to also be that violent to Seth despite his trauma is disappointing and yet again another case of forceful "sex" being thrown around willy nilly. I ain't a prude but I'd like some mature handling of this sort of thing rather than it just being used for generic titillation. I really thought this comic was going to set itself apart. I even bought the first three volumes, but I ain't buying anymore cuz it's kind of devolving into a really story-heavy BL where the BL isn't actually anything profound or special. I'm still going to keep reading because I'm already 200+ chapters in and I'm going to see it through to the end, but yeah...

It's valid to not personally like s2. But imo Hours alrdy had yandere tendencies, even at s1, it just wasn't put into focus. Re-reading ennead made me realize some aspects of the story, you'd have missed at the first time.

Still, while it's your own feelings to that, I felt like the r*pe aspect isn't exactly thrown willy nilly. Sure, I see there were some uncomfortable scenes (like the r*pe scene with the caravans or with the foreign god) but I don't find the sex scenes with horus as violent as you describe. He was kind of pushy at the first time in s2, but he showed still, even in later scenes, a more gentle and consensual approach.

Like asking before moving, apologizing if he took things too far. And if Seth really didn't like it (like in the bathhouse scene) he did stop and they only continued bc Seth approached him first.

For me this doesn't scream violence and r*pe as much as the other scenes.

While I do agree that s2 isn't topping s1 (I still love s1 Seth), re-reading ennead and grasping stuff that flew above my head, just bc the webtoon has been running for a few years with long breaks in between. It made me realize new connection and I also understood the plot. While it was a let down before, after the re-reading made s2 alot enjoyable imo (since I can now understand what the plot was). That's to say maybe I'm overlooking some things, but personally, I don't think it was too bad.

Horus has indeed always had yandere tendencies kinda made it obvious that his life has always revolved around Seth and his “change of attitude” is not per say “change” to me it is more like actions of a starved child and Horus is supposedly a child in the setting if you get what I mean. I personally feel like few manhwas are unmatched to ennead maybe paljae but we’ll see. Anyways the plot thickens!

And that's great! I'm just feeling a bit let down by S2. I really miss S1 Seth who was a little shit. I guess I just don't like how we've seen Seth be raped by not only Osiris but the slavers and then we have Horus who just loses all self-control when he gets a chance to have sex with Seth on numerous occasions and it's like "Come on, dude. Take a second." It's painted clear that Seth still has a bit of reluctance to be intimate but Horus bulldozes over him until Seth is freaking out. I just hope that Horus learns to control himself in the future because Seth deserves better.
