if his jinx was something as harmless as pinching himself three times before each match then yeah i would agree that right before the final match is a good place to overcome his jinx. but when his jinx is the catalyst of the power imbalance and abuse/violence between them then it's understandable why people want him to get over it sooner so that their romance can build on top of an actual healthy relationship
its just so much more exhausting with jinx than other stories bc jinx is such a hot topic bl that the haters love to dog pile on. they wont drop it like other stories bc everyone is reading it, but they refuse to accept the storu theyre forcing themselves to read its soo weird compared to other manwha
again, kim dan made the decision to be here not once but twice, and the second time being after he made it clear he could and would walk away if he felt he needed to. aside from the fact this isnt even the red flag dynamic yall want it to be, because kim dan is a capable grown man who chose this, yall trying desperately to force your own ideals and desires on this story that was based on a problematic relationship and tropes, and expecting characters to do 180s and become new people rather than seeing those characters learn to love and be loved, to grow and adapt, is honestly so exhausting. yall really expect to see jaekyung become a different person for the sake of your own moral high ground, when kim dan fell in love with him as he was to begin with. he doesnt hate jaekyung or want him to act like a different person - he just wanted his care and affection to be returned from that same asshole, and thats what jaekyung is doing. just read a different story if you dont like the character - he isnt going anywhere
?? jinx is entertaining. that's why i pay for the chapters. i don't hate jk. i disappointed with how he's being written. him doing a 180 and turning into a completely different person is an over exaggeration, sure, but that's also what character development is. "forcing our own ideals and desires onto the story" is another way of saying people have high expectations for it.
kim dan fell in love with an asshole. he knew that too--that's why he left. why WOULDN'T you want jk to not be asshole to him anymore? dan doesn't want jk to act like a different person, not bc he loves him for who he currently is, but bc he intended to leave him once this contract was over. that's why he accepted jk's second contract in the first place. before jk started to actively put in the effort to change, dan wanted nothing to do with him.
anyway. i could get into this entire speech about how dan being a grown man doesn't erase the power gap in their dynamic but i don't have the time and i'm sure you don't want to listen to it lmfao. but i didn't say or imply any of what you were talking about in your comment or response so the aggression is misplaced. all i said was that it's normal for people to want dan and jk's romance to build on top an actual healthy, noncontractual relationship. so yeah. i'm one of the readers who's disappointed they had sex. but i'm going to continue paying for and reading the chapters because i can criticize it and enjoy it at the same time

the readers who genuinely still dont get it are honestly the worst, how are you guys this media illiterate atp are yall 12?? there was never a hint or chance they wouldnt fuck before this match, thats the POINT. this is supposed to be their last time, no more strings attached night. it was always going to happen this time - its so clear the author is saving breaking the "jinx" for the rematch fight, the finale. why does pacing and plot progression fly over so many jinx readers heads? also ffs kim dan AGREED to this. since DAY ONE since yall love to ignore that, but also to this last condition. he is a thirty year old grown man capable of making adult choices, not some uwu baby twink yall need to protect. just because he doesnt make the choices you would, he agreed to be here and hes already proven once that if he didnt want to be, he wouldnt. they were obviously going to fuck but this time will be the first time its about kim dan, not jaekyung, and its going to make him rethink leaving jaekying, because thats what makes sense for the plot and how the story got us here. going forward wont be a contract anymore for dan, letting him see that jaekyung wants HIM, not the cure for his jinx, and the conclusion is obviously breaking the jinx. christ yall want everything so fast in this story because you hate jaekyung so much whyyy are yall even still here
